Obviously....

I am a bad blogger!! One thing about it is that I don't have internet at home. That makes it hard to update! But I do have soooooo much to show you guys! I have been busily preparing X-mas presents for people this year & I have started a new & SO fun project! But first I will tell you how everyone is! I have started work again! I love to work & I am sooo glad I love my job! I am one of the fortunate few who get to do what they love & jobs are plentiful! I work at Saginaw's which is a very nice restaurant in Elma. They have the CUTEST little shop right in the retaurant too.... I spend alot of my tips there!! The little shop is called PB&J's. I encourage you to check out the website to Saginaw's. The food is incredible & Lou's desserts are a highlight! She is an amazing chef! She needs to go on the show Top Chef!! Taryn is in South Carolina for Christmas & I hope her dad is teaching her how to drive a stickshift!! I don't feel like I am old enough to have a daughter with a driving permit & in 6 months she will be cruising around in MY car!! AHHHHHH! I am glad she's probably the most mature person in our household!! She is getting ready to go to Disneyland to perform with the drillteam in April. She is also GORGEOUS. Where do I start with Sheridan? The girl is in the hospital right now as I write this! What should've been a random catheter change turned into a 3 day stay.... the transplant is a go & the wait is on. She's a trooper! She has started equestrian team & she is riding 3 of our horses for different events... She's doing equestrian drill, gaming, & cowhorse events. She rides 3 or 4 days a week & what a rush it is to see this girl ride! Fast & faster is what she knows! I am excited to give her her x-mas present... since she probably won't read this I will tell you that it is a saddle pad that she has wanted for about two years. We have all been VERY busy & trying to get on with life since last winter & summer were spent in the hospital. She deserves to ride fast after what she's been thru... she's just catching up! Anyway, on to finding time to make x-mas presents... I would love to *buy* time!! I would ask Santa for more time if it was possible in either case! That is my one impossible wish.... more time! I have done a couple of charm swaps & I mailed them in late.... I hate that but it just always happens... so I am going to wait before I sign up for anymore till after the holidays! But now I have some orders for some banners that I am making... Sooooo cute. I have taken to making glittery &/or decorated paper signs, names cool words, etc & making banners out of them. I am decorating them with tons of vintage ribbon, vintage buttons, crystals, metal bits, stickers, pictures, etc... the possibilities are endless on how to bling these out! I love it!! So, after I have made up a few more of them I will get some pics & post them! They go as fast as I make them! I also made some super cute legwarmers out of a wool sweater... (i washed it, you know what happens with it then!) I felted a name going down the side & put bead & all the fun things on them too. So, here's what I do so if anyone has an old sweater DON'T throw it away! Just cut the sleeves off & wa-la you have legwarmers!! Take the rest of it & make a matching bag!! Let me tell you,no sweater was safe there for awhile! I got cold last winter & had to stop cutting them up! My legs stayed warm tho & I always had the perfect matched handbag! Watch out Louie V.!!! Let's see what else? Oh yeah the horrible storm that hit our area... what a nightmare!! The roof blew off the bedroom of the big house, our field flooded, the second biggest tree in my yard blew over, luckily it blew between the house & the 5th wheel! it would have destroyed either one had the wind blew it over on them instead. We only lost power for like a day & a half. the roof also blew off Sinclares (my baby goat) & Henny Penny's (my one chicken) house. The 7 horses all huddled up & stayed calm... & my baby bull calf was just worried about getting fed. Thank god I am not bottle feeding the little rascal anymore! He would have blown away out in that weather!! I got him when he was just a day old & he is about 8 weeks old now. I walk him with a halter & lead rope but he gets really excited & takes off running & bucking & drags me or whoever all around the field! He's really cute! So, all in all we managed ok during the storm. We are thankful. Anyway, long blog & I will post pics soon! Happy Holidays to Everybody!!! Heather & Family!!!

We're outta here!

Hi!! Well, I am writing this in a bittersweet mood... We have officially been released from the Ronald McDonald House! I am supposed to be packing & moving & cleaning right now. I am really happy to be going home but it's kinda scary too! Sheridan has finally been diagnosed chronic renal failure. We will move to a closer dialysis unit & she will begin the tests to see if she is going to be a good recipient for a transplant. So, after all this she will end up with a transplant. Yesterday was exactly 8 months of being here at the hospital. It was snowing the day we were driven by ambulance to Children's. I remember the roads being icy. Today it's about 80' out & just super nice. Weird! Fair went AWESOME!! All of my girls recieved big rosette ribbons & it was well worth all the sleepless nights & early mornings! Well, I have to run to the P.O. Later! Heather!!

Happy August Everyone!

This is going to be a good month! This will be a super busy month too! I am currently driving back & forth everyday from Seattle to Elma.... 2 hours if the traffic is good! I am setting the donut machine up this weekend at a really awesome little place out by my little farm. This place is my inspiration everytime I am there! My daughter is raising $$ for her drillteam uniform so hopefully she will sell ALOT of donuts! I am also selling some of my little lipglosses I make. 3 flavors, cherry vanilla, pina colada & peppermint.... which is your flavor? I think I will throw in some cool crocheted bags I have too. Those are great for alot of things! I will take some pics & post them next week. I took my 4-H group on a trailride today, good work-out for the horses & the girls. The fair is from the 8th to the 12th.... I will be gone from the blog for a week! I will have the donut booth up at the fair too! After our trailride I took Taryn to drillteam practice & I headed out to the fields to mow hay. The John Deere is loud.... the mower is hella-loud & I ended up with a pounding headache! I went over to pick up some decorations for fair & I was talking & realized... I am loud!!! It's cuz I couldn't hear! After I yelled at everyone in the house I headed for Seattle! Made it in good time.. painted the little things, threw a load of laundry in, started on the halters I am making the girls for fair( super cute) & here I am! Tomorrow Sheridan has dialysis & a doctors appt. to discuss her upcoming kidney biopsy. Let's take a poll... will she or won't she need a kidney transplant? At this point something needs to be done. Life doesn't stop for any of us. It seems like it would but it doesn't. So, I think I am rambling. I don't think, I know I am. It's 2:30 a.m. I am going to bed nite you guys & I can't wait to post some pics of this months STUFF! Smiles everyday to you! Heather!!

I belong!!!!

Hi!! Guess what!?! I belong to a new group! I am pretty excited to try out some of their trades! The new group is The Embellished Circus. The name caught my eye! Anyway, more for me to post... I know, I know.... when I do actually post! I am taking some more pics in the a.m. so I can show some more stuff! Amber Dawn left me a message & I was so excited! I had someone checking out my blog! It's always fun to get a message from her because I know she is one BUSY girl! I am currently working on like 3 of her charm swaps... & she has more than that going! Amazing......! I strongly encourage everyone to check out her site... it's in my site's on the side! I am going to a baby shower on Sunday... You don't get it... I don't do showers. I didn't even do my best friends bachelorette shower thing.. granted that was because I burned the skin off of my face trying to hard boil an egg in the microwave, that's all I am going to say about that!, but I still don't know if I really would've made it! I'm thinking about that now... how did we, at 18 years of age, get into bars? That's where we would've went that night... CRAZY! I really like babies though. I liked looking in the baby section for the little clothes & shoes. I will show you a pic of what I got .... in the a.m. I am also making a charm after the baby is born. Anyway, I am leaving if they play the "Guess the Melted Candy Bar in the Diaper" game. With all of Sheridan's issues lately... Hey there!! What has everybody been doing lately... Kinda quiet out there in blogland! The Ronald McDonald House remains the same! I just don't know what we would have done without this place while Sheridan has been sick. So, my deck around the Little Star Farm Shack is almost done!! It is going to be so cute! The horse fence will be started soon! YAY!! Bigger field for them this winter! I ran over my dog with the quad.... he jumped right back up & started running along side me again. I had a heart attack. I don't know what I would do without my old Blue Dog. Having two places to live at is hard! Regular chores at home (on the farm) & communal chores & living here in Seattle at the Ronald House. All of the art stuff I am using right now is here in Seattle so when I go home to the farm I feel like I am missing something. Don't take your space for granted girls!!! Anyway, I am happy to say I finished my fabric charms! I have started on some cool asian themed charms now! I am also working on these cool little pocket fairies! I really like making them!! They are sooooo fun! I will only get more ideas to make them funky & whimsy!! Isn't that a great word.....whimsy! Everybody uses it now too! I have also almost finished my little bottle charms!! They are TINY! I have to think of some cool packaging for them! They HAVE to have something to do with stars tho. I am going to size my pics & try to get some on here!! Does anyone want to trade paper dolls or pocket fairies? I am also going to try to fit some inchies in sometime soon!! Those are so cute! What do you do with your inchies? I want to make some but I don't just want a bag of these little art treasures hanging around doing nothing! I am going to suggest a book for you to read in your spare time.... it was ..... different. It is by Wally Lamb. The title is "She's Come Undone". It was on the NY Times best sellers & Oprahs Book Club. I finished it & thought I like how the author writes his stories. Hey there!! Well, the kids swap went good....thanks to all the kids that took a minute out of their summer to join!! Alot of artistic kids out there!! I have also recieved my ICE charms!! I really had a good time making charms for these swaps! My charms I recieved back are great!! Amber Dawn really puts alot of effort & time into swapping the charms!! I have had very little time lately... I really can't wait for winter!! More time to spend indoors & create! Well, I am going to go pick up my daughter dialysis right now *yes, we are STILL at the hospital & we have no idea how much longer...... almost 8 months. Trying to keep it together. KIDS ATC SWAP!!!!

Hi!! OMG!!! It has been SOOOOOO long! My bad. Bad blogsite owner... Anyway, I have decided to do a kids ATC swap! It will be 5 cards for 5 cards back! I'm not going to do a pre picked theme because I want to see what you kids are interested in!!! So, here's the deal on what to do!!! An ATC is actually an Altered Trading Card. They are two and a half inches by three and a half inches. You can make them on paper, plastic, wood, cloth, ANYTHING that is 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 inches!! You can ONLY trade these cards & they are not to be sold!! The cards need to have your name, e-mail address, and your age on the back of them!! And PLEASE if you have any other info about you or your card you want to share, put it on the back too!!!! That is part of the art too!!! So kids, pick a theme for 5 cards that reflect YOU & create some cool art that will be the beginning of your ATC collection!! Who knows, maybe you will get other kids who want to trade more!! So, spread the word to your friends & lets make this a good one!! Please try to do your BESTEST art work too because you WILL want to trade more & you want people to trade with you!! This part is for your adult to read so go get them!....... O.k. when the cards are ready put them between some thin cardboard or someting so the awesome art doesn't get bent up!!!Send them to: Heather Kayser 5130 40th Ave. NE #383 Seattle, Wa 98105 . You will need to also include a self addressed envelope so I can mail your cards back to you!! Don't forget to put a couple of stamps on your envelope too!! Quirks or no quirks try to love me anyway!!

Well, I am excited to leave some posts on some blogs that I check out quite alot but never seem to leave a note!! I picked my tagged sites with alot of consideration! I like how you write in your blogs, what you write about, the names of your blogs, the colors & the ideas, pictures & creative intrests!! I am quite new to this blog thing but really enjoy your sites!! So, I hope you read this & pass it along too! I am going to be checking for your quirks too!! Here are the rules to tagged... Each player starts with 7 random quirks, facts, habits, tidbits, etc. about themselves! If you are tagged you need to write on your own blog about your 7 things!! 1. I will ONLY wear fruit flavored scents, perfumes, lotions, or oils. My absolute favorite to get these scents hand made to the strengh of smell I like is Archibald Sisters in Olympia, Wa. Very cool shop!! I have been called a fruit salad ALOT!
2. I can ONLY walk on the right side of people. When people find this out they try & trick me by trying to walk on my left side. I literally cannot walk if they are on my left side. Sometimes I don't get anywhere.
3. I like mustard in my top ramen. Gross, I know, but which is worse eating it plain or with mustard? Both, so it doesn't matter!! (My friend Mel got that started in high school!!)
4. I get carsick driving. Another reason I don't get anywhere!
5. My favorite television channel is E! network. I cannot get enough of all the celebrity gossip stuff!! Suzi Finer, I am sooo jealous about the Britney Spears visit!! (I am also addicted to reality t.v.)
6. Tomatoes & tomato based foods make the palms of my hands & the bottom of my feet itch. I like tomatoes but they really have to be worth it to eat it!!
7. I will only get tattoos that have stars in them somehow or someway. And my favorite colors for those big, bad tattooed stars??? Pinks, blues, purples, yellows etc... NO primary colors!! Very girlie!!

I was tagged!

I was tagged by my ICE charm swap host!! She put me in with 7 other EXTREMELY talented people! I feel as if I am out of my league!! So, I am thinking of my 7 quirky things & also of my 7 blogs to pass this on too! I am having alot of fun reading these quirky things about others!! I was laughing out loud about the marriage thing Amber!! I have finished my pink cards & need to add my photos but I think I will do that when I add my 7! My charms for the ICE swap are almost done! My fingers will be raw from sanding by the time I am done!! Sheridan is bored here at the Ronald McDonald house & I am always off in a 100 different directions so she has a whirlwind around her all the time! I need to take new photos of my work area here! All of my art stuff is stored in pink puke buckets!! Never been used of course, but funny none the less! I haven't updated on the Little Star Farm yet so here goes! All of my chickens, that I had bought for my favorite little red head, Sa-rah, were eaten by hawks or some pesky raccoon EXCEPT 1!! This 1 hen, I call her Henny Penny, has decided that my 100 lb. australian shepard, Blue Dog, & Sheridan's red heeler, Apple, are her new roommates! Every morning Stan goes to feed the dogs & out of the either of the dog houses comes Henny Penny! Pretty smart because she knows the bad guys won't come to get her around the dogs! She has also decided dog food is alot tastier than chicken food & won't eat the chicken food anymore! She is really tame & lets people pet her too! Soooo funny! She plays with Apple by letting her chase her & then hunkering down so Apple can ruffle her feathers & then off they go again! Anyway, it's crazy on the farm & I hope this made you laugh! I am going to get some photos real soon & make a trading card book of funny animals on the Little Star Farm! If anyone else wants to do trading on the same subject let me know!! Busy!!

You guys, I am having a great time with all my projects!! I am telling you, this buncha projects is the way to go for me!! I am done with my "BLING" ATC's. Really cute! The vintage lady even has a gold tooth!! So, if anyone would like to trade for one of the "BLING" cards let me know! I have two to trade with, the 3rd one is going to a lottery! I used the transfer technique Michelle (craftedby.us) taught in a podcast on one of the cards. I really had fun trying to get it just right.... I always have to do it a little different just to see if it will work! Anyway, let me know about a trade, I will also have a couple of "PINK" cards up for trade too!! Those will be done in a couple of days! I am anxiously awaiting my trading card stamps to use on the back of my cards! I am soo excited! So, a little shout-out goes to Amanda W. for having the Stampin' Up business so I can get my goodies from her!! I can't wait to trade with her too!! I left my camera in the truck!!! I have made some ATC's, charms, a birthday card, scrabble charms, crocheted mini bags....... I am dyin' to post pics!! All the things I have been working on are for swaps or contests or lotterys!! I have atleast 3 things going at once & you know what? It works for me! I always try to fight the impulse to do multiple things all at once because I fear I won't be able to finish what I start... But I have finished more things in the last 2 days that I think I can get over the phobia!! I have got to show you my BLING ATC!! The girl has a gold tooth & all!! Love it! Soooo Weird!!

Alright I think someone is seriously messin' with me!! Or maybe I am TOTALLY losin'it. I have been trying to log in to this all day & it has been giving me grief all day! Lori was here to witness it! I really need to keep up!!

Hi!! Well, I have not been meeting my blog expectations! I am going to try & steal my pink poolstick back from Stan the Man so I can take a picture of it & post it!! I know Twyla really wants to hit me with it & not learn how to play pool!! I have cleaned up my space here at the hospital!! I am sooooo proud of myself! You guys, it was so messy....I had to jump over all my totes filled with cool art supplies. I finally got off my rear today because I stubbed my toe so hard on my Sizzix I thought I was going to have to check in here at Children's Hospital! I will update ya'll on Little Sheridan now too... So one of the doc's decided a week after she had the tube in that she was ready to have it pulled out...huge ordeal for this poor girl... & now the new set of doc's want her to put it back in. ARG!!! So, I told them no, she has surgery on monday & they can put a less invasive tube in her while she is already under the spell of the sleeping meds!! She has been feeling pretty good, no improvement really just coping better for the most part. So, she'll make it through & beat me racing around the barrels before we know it! I am making a birthday card for a contest... I hope I win, it's $100.00 for first place to my favorite little paper, stamp, & crafty store right down the road! I have also entered an ATC swap with a pink theme. I know alot of people don't like pink, but I really, really do!! So, more pink is on the way to this site! Hey, what happened to a couple of my posts? Thay turned all weird & I can't read it! Have I been here at the hospital so long I am seeing things? Oh, & also HUGE apologies to anyone who got tagged.... That was Sheridan & one of her friends on my e-mail. I don't know how to stop it now...... sorry! I am not really a my space or tagged kinda gal so I don't even know what to do with it! Ok, so I will create in the a.m. & photo it in the p.m. I just wanna sit here & look at my clean work area for awhile longer! Thanks for the posts Amber Dawn! Oh, I mailed the kids' charms today... SUNNY!!

So, I am so excited!! What a beautiful day in Seattle! Sheridan even went for a little outing!! The sunny weather makes me feel not so creative indoors. Does anyone else feel like that too? So, needless to say I haven't finished my trading cards... I will do it, I will do it!! Anyway, I will update this more....whenever.... I am bored. Heather!!

My friend is talented!!

Hi!! So, I know we all have good friends but my friend Michelle is sooo talented & smart!! My birthday present is so AWESOME!! I am going to post a picture of it for everyone to enjoy! I LOVE IT!! She also gave me a slipper, yes, one slipper. It is light blue & it was IN my birthday cake. Can you believe that?!? Soooo funny! The slipper will never die!! It's kinda like The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, but with a slipper. I also got a PINK poolstick from my friend Wes!! I gotta get a photo of it!! I can't wait to use it! My birthday was great & I was really glad to see my friends...they drove all the way here to spend it with me!! Oh yeah, & to give me a slipper! Different..

I totally thought my 35th birthday would be spent at home with friends & family... it won't be at home but it will be with friends & family. For that, I will not ask for anything other than for Sheridan to be able to spend HER birthday at home with her friends & family. I will be positive & it will soak into her & make her strong again. We may never know what has caused all this & we may wonder forever why these things happen... I don't care....just get better forever. I have been creating silly little things to keep me busy & I don't have all of my creative "stuff" here with me, so I feel like the things I make aren't very ...."wantable" (heatherism) But I still like to do something because my other choice is literally doing nothing. So, if anyone sees something on this blog that they think they would like, let me know, I can send it out right away! Or send me some ideas to work with!!! I have the time.... Bye!! Heather!!

Atc's are fun!!

I really like ATC's!! I am excited to have all my stuff to actually use!! I am going to enter a swap to trade the cards! I need to reword that.... I WILL be excited to have all my stuff to make more cards! The hospital room has run out of room for craft stuff!! Anyway, if anyone out there wants to trade a card or two leave me a post & lets trade!! Also, I used chipboard, midori inc. paper, regular stock paper, images, & little be-bobs to embellish... what are some of your ideas? I would really love to hear more ideas on these because I have never even seen these in real life!! So, maybe I will have more to post in the a.m.! Talk to ya'll later!!! Heather!!

Tiny Little Bags!!

So, I sent Amber Dawn my fabric charms for the swap...... I sent bags to put them in... They're too small!!!!! Arg!!! I crammed one in the bag before I sent it thinking "A little tight, but it'll work!" So, I hope she just stuffs 'em in there & I will have better packaging next time!! Better tags and stuff too!! First timers must be hard to work with!! I am excited still because Sheridan has felt better for the last 2 days!! She got a feeding tube in today...NOT HAPPY about it(her). But I think the idea behind it will help her!! I want to get her home & barrel race with her!! I also want to get going on the soldered saddle charms... I have a couple of orders for them. Anyway, thanks for leaving my 2nd message Amber Dawn!! I am a goof, sorry about the bags!! Thanks for putting up with us newbies entering the charm swaps!!! Oh, I am going to post a ATC that I made while Sheridan was in surgery today...It has to dry so I will post it later tonight!! Late Nite Altered Art

HI!! So, today there were no creations being made at the Little Star Hospital... tonite I will make some altered art scrabble tiles!! I need to figure out how to put pics on my site here so you can see the simple, fast, fun & super cute projects! My favorite thing so far is making things & giving them away to the nurses here!! Birthday Party!

Hey!! So, my family thru me an impromptu birthday party in Sheridan's hospital room yesterday!! How cool is that! It was a week to early but they had to do it that way to actually surprise me!! I got a printer for tha laptop!! Totally portable!! COOL!! So, now my projects will be made with cool tags -n- such!!! Anyway, thought it was totally sweet & wanted to share my excitedness with you!!
